In Bristol, an established national law firm seeks a Pensions Associate to handle a broad pensions caseload for private and public sector clients. You’ll work within the highly respected Pensions team, engaging in both contentious and non-contentious matters from day one. Your role blends technical pension advisory with governance and transactional work, contributing to business development and client relationships. Responsibilities
- Advise employers, trustees and public bodies on pensions matters
- Lead risk reduction and transfer exercises (buy-ins, buyouts, alternative funding)
- Manage PPF assessment periods, scheme rescues and insolvencies
- Handle LGPS matters across England and Wales
- Support corporate transactions, mergers, restructurings and wind ups
- Contribute to complex pensions litigation (including professional negligence and Part 8)
- Support trustee operations and governance matters
- Build client relationships and contribute to business development
- Collaborate within a diverse, nationally integrated team
Key requirements
- Qualified solicitor
- Meaningful hands-on experience in non-contentious pensions work
