Overview
As Principal Process Engineer, you will lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative, sustainable process solutions within Stantec’s Energy & Resources portfolio. You’ll shape project direction, apply technical expertise, and drive value for clients across the full lifecycle. The role blends leadership, digital delivery, and safe design to advance low‑carbon energy projects. You join a global team delivering impact across EfW, district heating, gasification, hydrogen, and biogas initiatives.

Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership across multi‑disciplinary project teams
- Lead digital delivery strategies including process modelling, mass balances, and P&IDs
- Use software tools to develop solutions and ensure project success
- Manage project scope, risk, budgets, and team performance
- Mentor and coach process engineers for professional growth
- Support safe design practices and foster continuous HSE improvement
- Collaborate with clients on-site and remotely to ensure alignment and delivery
- Shape project direction and drive technical excellence to deliver client value
Key requirements
- Degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or related discipline; experience in energy, water, or process industries (experience in both is valued)
- Member of a relevant engineering institution (e.g., IChemE)
- Strong technical leadership across multidisciplinary projects
- Experience managing people, tasks, budgets, scope, and risk
- Client-facing experience, on-site and remote
