Project Controls Manager

Overview

In this role you will lead robust project control systems to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery with quality. You will act as the client’s representative, coordinating between delivery teams and stakeholders to manage cost, schedule, and risk. You’ll work on a Nordics data centre construction project, guiding governance and reporting while mentoring junior staff. This is a hands-on position that combines analytics with clear, proactive communication to keep complex projects aligned with objectives.

Responsibilities

• Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and cost baselines
• Track progress against milestones and identify risks with corrective actions (Primavera P6)
• Identify and mitigate project risks; maintain risk registers and reports
• Prepare monthly reports and dashboards with Earned Value Management metrics
• Facilitate monthly reporting process and foster cross-team collaboration
• Manage scope changes and contract variations per contract terms
• Enforce governance, reporting standards, and quality assurance processes
• Act as primary interface between client and delivery teams; resolve issues
• Mentor and develop junior project controls staff

Key requirements

• Strong understanding of project controls principles (EVM, cost control, scheduling, change management, risk management)
• Proficiency in project management software and data analysis tools
