Overview

In this role, you support high-profile equity capital markets and M&A transactions within Deloitte’s EFT team. You will lead finance-led work, including M&A finance, complex financials and ECM-related tasks, across domestic and international deals. You collaborate with senior stakeholders and cross-functional advisers to deliver end-to-end transaction support. You will shape financial processes, controls and readiness for transactions, contributing to the firm’s value-driven, client-centric approach. This is a means to grow as a finance leader within a leading advisory practice.

Responsibilities

  • Lead finance-led transaction support across M&A and equity capital markets projects
  • Perform complex financial analysis, carve-out, combination or separation work
  • Support transaction readiness, execution and completion for clients
  • Draft and present finance-related Board and Audit Committee materials
  • Coordinate with cross-functional deal teams and external advisers (banks, lawyers, regulators)
  • Contribute to governance, controls and assurance services in public transactions
  • Engage with senior finance stakeholders (CFOs, finance leadership) and manage workstreams
  • Utilise PowerPoint and Excel to communicate findings and support decision-making

Key requirements

  • ACA qualified or equivalent
  • Significant M&A experience (private and public)
  • Experience leading teams and managing complex transactions
  • Strong technical accounting and finance track record
  • Broad financial/commercial experience in professional services or corporate settings
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and client-facing skills
  • Experience with transaction readiness and governance in finance contexts
  • Expertise in complex financials, carve-outs or separations
  • Understanding of finance operating models and controls in transaction environments
  • Ability to interact with senior finance stakeholders and cross-border teams
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical skills and presentation skills
