Overview
In this role you support the Office of the General Counsel in conflicts and ethics, helping manage compliance programs and regulatory risk while maintaining expertise in ethics and professional responsibility across jurisdictions. You will work with senior lawyers to resolve conflicts for new business and laterals, perform focused legal research, and support risk management activities. The position offers hybrid work in London and a path to contribute to the firm’s compliance culture. You will help shape how the firm handles ethical issues and complex engagement terms.

Responsibilities
- Assist with conflicts checks for new business and lateral hires; identify and resolve ethical and business conflicts
- Perform legal research and analysis on conflicts, ethics, and professional responsibility
- Support general risk management programs (file audits, accountants letters, contract review)
- Assist with review and analysis of Outside Counsel Guidelines and engagement terms
- Research and analyze complex ethics and compliance questions for various stakeholders
Key requirements
- Bachelor’s degree; law degree or equivalent
- Qualified solicitor, barrister or equivalent foreign lawyer with right to practice in home jurisdiction
- Active practicing certificate or local bar membership
- Post-qualification experience, preferably in a conflicts team
- General law firm compliance experience, preferably
- Ability to interact with stakeholders at all organizational levels
- Willingness to work in a hybrid office/remote setup
