Lead Consultant UK | GCP | Data & AI/ML Pre-Sales Architect

Overview

In this role you help clients maximise Google Cloud Platform value by shaping data and AI/ML architectures. You’ll lead delivery teams on complex projects, design fit-for-purpose architectures, and develop technical and solution documents. You’ll contribute to frameworks, assist sales, and mentor juniors while staying current with industry trends. This is a hands-on, impact-driven position at a top Google Cloud partner that values innovation and customer success.

Responsibilities

• Conduct GCP Data Architecture and AI/ML workshops
• Lead delivery teams to ensure complete implementation of projects
• Deliver complex technical designs and architectures
• Design architectures aligned with customer requirements and constraints
• Create solution architecture and technical design documents
• Contribute to development of frameworks and service concepts
• Assist in sales to new and existing customers
• Foster continuous learning and mentor juniors
• Stay updated with current trends

Key requirements

• Computer science degree
• Extensive hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform
• Two or more Google Cloud Professional Certifications: Cloud Architect, Data Engineer, Database Engineer, Machine Learning Engineer
• Experience with Data Lakes, ETL, BigQuery, Cloud Composer, Dataflow, Dataproc, Cloud SQL, BigTable, Spanner
• Proficiency in writing Terraform code
• Experience setting up CI/CD pipelines for data and ML projects
• Coding/scripting skills: Python, Go, C/C++
• Experience with DBT and/or Dataform
• Experience with Dagster, Airbyte, Fivetran and/or Hightouch
• English proficiency; UK work eligibility
• Soft skills: ability to present to business and technical stakeholders, build client relationships, strong time management, mentoring
