Overview

As Business Development Manager for LifeSafety Power in the UK & Ireland, you drive growth and market presence of our intelligent power solutions. You collaborate with cross-functional teams to expand adoption of integrated power and access control technologies across Europe, Africa, and beyond. You’ll build relationships with customers, partners, and stakeholders, shaping market strategy and delivering sustainable business growth. Responsibilities

  • Drive growth for the Power Systems category through a structured development plan and meet sales and margin targets in assigned channels and territories
  • Expand LifeSafety Power adoption by engaging OEMs, integrators, consultants, architects, end users, and influencers via technical support, CPD sessions, and product education
  • Build and manage a strong opportunity pipeline; track activities in CRM, prepare tender responses and joint proposals
  • Provide technical and market expertise on LSP solutions, monitored power systems, and integration protocols to assist customers and internal teams
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Digital, and EAC teams; participate in industry events and uphold company values in all interactions

Key requirements

  • Proven success in business development or technical sales within security, power, access control, or related industries with a strong commercial mindset and full sales-cycle experience
  • Experience working with System Integrators, OEMs, and electrical/security contractors; demonstrated ability to nurture strategic customer relationships
  • Strong technical knowledge of low-voltage power systems, networked power supplies, and access control infrastructure; electrical/engineering background preferred
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, including relationship building, presentations, negotiations, CRM management, and reporting
  • Desirable knowledge of EN standards, CPD or technical training delivery, and familiarity with LifeSafety Power, Mercury Security, or integrated access control ecosystems
