Overview
As Category Manager for Category Strategy & Own Label, you will translate strategic direction into practical, data-driven initiatives that accelerate Own Label growth across Retail and Foodservice. You’ll tailor category plans with cross‑functional partners, leverage insights to drive customer value, and support UK/European initiatives. You’ll engage key customers with compelling, insight-led propositions and track impact through performance metrics. This role offers influence across channels in a globally expanding business with strong values.

Responsibilities
- Develop and execute category growth plans for Retail and Foodservice in partnership with the Senior Category Manager
- Tailor strategies and activation plans by channel and customer environment with environment specialists
- Drive data-led initiatives to strengthen the Own Label portfolio and track performance
- Support development of new products, ranges, and activation concepts for Own Label growth
- Enable selling tools and digital capability to boost customer engagement and effectiveness
- Lead customer and stakeholder engagement, articulating value of category propositions
- Build strong internal and external partnerships and deliver data-driven recommendations from category reviews and assortment optimization
- Apply advanced data analytics to translate insights into actionable business recommendations and explore AI-enabled tools to improve speed and impact
Key requirements
- 3–5 years’ experience in category management, insight, commercial support or product development within FMCG/CPG
- Strong track record turning consumer and market insight into actionable recommendations
- Advanced analytical capability with experience in key data sources
- Experience with Kantar, Circana (IRI/Nielsen), dunnhumby; Lumina Intelligence, Circana CREST; PowerBI, SAP BI, Excel and Salesforce (CRM)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills; ability to build relationships across teams and partners
- Working knowledge of commercial frameworks for Own Label and Branded propositions
