Overview
As a Site Services Engineer, you ensure critical site services run safely and reliably to support production. You’ll perform planned maintenance, inspections, fault-finding, and repairs across boiler and steam systems, coordinating with engineering and operations. You’ll record activities in the CMMS and drive root-cause analysis and continuous improvement to boost site reliability. This role sits at the heart of a collaborative, high-performing manufacturing team. You’ll work on meaningful, hands-on projects that impact production efficiency and safety.

Responsibilities
- Perform planned preventative maintenance and statutory inspections on site services equipment
- Respond to breakdowns with diagnostic work and first-time fixes where possible
- Maintain boilers, steam systems, and other utility plant across the site
- Record maintenance activities and inspections using the CMMS system
- Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement to enhance site performance and reliability
- Ensure equipment subject to legislative compliance is maintained and certified per HSE requirements
Key requirements
- Mechanical or Electrical Engineering apprenticeship, Level 3 qualification, ONC, or equivalent
- Experience operating and maintaining boiler systems
- Experience working with steam systems
- Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Ability to prioritise workloads and perform under pressure
