Overview
As an AI Business Analyst in Deloitte’s AI Scaling and Transformation team, you bridge business needs and technical delivery for Central Government clients. You own analysis workstreams, align requirements with programme objectives, and translate policy and operations into actionable AI specifications. You collaborate with policy, operations and technology stakeholders to define use cases, process maps and roadmaps while ensuring governance and responsible AI. This role offers cross-functional impact, client-facing delivery, and growth within a leading AI-enabled transformation practice.

Responsibilities
- Own business analysis workstreams, delivering outputs in line with programme objectives, timelines and quality standards
- Engage senior stakeholders across policy, operations and technology to understand challenges and identify AI-enabled transformation opportunities
- Define and document AI use cases, user stories, process maps and functional/non-functional requirements
- Translate complex business needs into clear technical requirements for engineers, data scientists and architects
- Support development of business cases, value propositions and delivery roadmaps for AI initiatives
- Ensure alignment with governance, security, privacy and responsible AI in Central Government environments
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to track delivery, manage dependencies and ensure requirements are met throughout the lifecycle
Key requirements
- Degree or equivalent experience in Business Analysis, Public Policy, Technology, Data or related discipline
- Strong experience delivering business analysis within technology, data or AI-enabled transformation programmes
- Experience in Central Government or similarly regulated environments; eligible to obtain security clearance
- Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and support delivery teams
- Strong understanding of AI lifecycle from use case definition to implementation and scaling
- Experience defining user stories, process maps, functional and non-functional requirements, and acceptance criteria in agile environments
- Strong stakeholder management, facilitation and communication skills
- Ability to bridge business and technical teams and work across multiple delivery workstreams
