Overview
In this role you will support the ENR tax practice at KPMG, delivering complex UK and international tax advisory to major global clients in energy, oil & gas, mining, power, renewables, and chemicals. You will work closely with Partners and Directors to shape tax advice, develop client relationships, and contribute to proposals and thought leadership. You will analyse tax issues, translate technical findings into business impact, and collaborate across UK and overseas experts to drive value. The role combines technical tax excellence with a client-centric, collaborative culture and opportunities to grow within a fast-changing energy and fiscal landscape.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Partners/Directors on complex engagements to deliver high-quality advice
- Support business development through proposals and pitches
- Develop and maintain client relationships
- Be a primary point of contact for clients, legal advisers, and internal teams
- Coach colleagues, collaborate with peers, and continuously learn
- Prepare/oversee detailed UK and international tax advice
- Analyze tax documents/data, highlight issues, and articulate commercial impact
- Collaborate with UK and overseas tax specialists, critically evaluating their input
- Demonstrate up-to-date tax knowledge on UK and OECD developments
- Understand financial models from a tax perspective
- Contribute to thought leadership
Key requirements
- Qualified CTA or ACA/CA or equivalent
- Ambitious, enthusiastic with interest in transactions
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong UK corporate tax knowledge with awareness of other tax and accounting matters
- Strong analytical, commercial problem-solving approach
