Overview

As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will shape electrical and instrumentation concepts for water treatment projects within RSE’s Chemical & Wastewater Solutions platform. You’ll work in a cross-disciplinary team, from scoping through to implementation, contributing to safety studies and supplier review processes. You will collaborate with in-house construction and commissioning teams to deliver high-quality solutions for UK clients. This role supports our low-carbon, innovative approach to water infrastructure and offers a clear path to leadership within a market-leading MEICA business.

Responsibilities

  • Develop electrical and instrumentation concepts and detailed designs
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams
  • Participate in safety studies (Hazop) and risk assessments
  • Review supplier design solutions and ensure they meet requirements
  • Coordinate with construction and commissioning teams to deliver high-quality solutions

Key requirements

  • Degree/HND/HNC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • CompEx 12 qualified
  • Knowledge of British and European design standards
  • Experience in a multidisciplinary design team
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Effective communication across disciplines
  • Team collaboration in a fast-paced environment
  • Problem-solving mindset with attention to safety
  • Electrical design and instrumentation expertise
  • Knowledge of DSEAR-related project requirements
  • Experience with Hazop and safety studies
