Principal/Sr Principal, Global Strategic Advisory Consulting

Overview

In this Principal/Senior Principal role, you partner with VP+ clients in life sciences to steer strategic, technological, and operational challenges. You lead end-to-end engagements, curate tailored, value-driven proposals, and drive client satisfaction while seeking new revenue opportunities. You will translate disruptive technologies—AI/ML, digital health, RWE platforms—into actionable strategies and integrated solutions across data, technology, and advisory services. You shape thought leadership and mentor teams to sustain consulting excellence. This role places you at the core of client impact, cross‑functional collaboration, and strategic growth within IQVIA’s DTAS practice.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration across Advisory Services and the DTAS ecosystem to design integrated, enterprise-grade solutions.
• Own client engagements end-to-end, ensuring satisfaction and measurable value while generating follow-on opportunities.
• Develop high-impact, tailored proposals and maintain proactive post-delivery engagement with clients.
• Provide strategic direction and leadership across projects, translating insights into actionable recommendations for senior stakeholders.
• Stay ahead of industry, competitive, and regulatory trends to shape differentiated advisory propositions.
• Contribute to firm visibility through thought leadership, client forums, and external engagement.
• Support team development through recruiting, mentoring, and capability building.

Key requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, MBA not required but advantageous
• Minimum 12 years’ professional experience in consulting or the pharmaceutical/life sciences industry
• Demonstrated leadership in managing teams and high-impact client engagements
• Proven ability to build lasting client relationships grounded in trust and partnership
• Willingness and ability to travel to client locations as needed
