Product Manager, Innovation

Overview

In this role you drive money movement initiatives within Visa Direct, shaping the product strategy and delivering scalable, secure solutions. You will partner with regional and global teams to understand local ecosystems and translate insights into backlog-driven initiatives. You lead discovery, experimentation, delivery, and post-launch optimization, owning outcomes and stakeholder alignment. This is a chance to impact payments at scale, applying AI and data-driven insights to reduce friction and accelerate value for customers.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities to enhance money movement solutions and reduce cost and time to value
• Lead stakeholder discovery to validate problems and shape innovation strategy
• Translate opportunities into epics and features with business cases and regional alignment
• Own the product lifecycle from discovery to launch and optimization
• Stay informed on trends in payments and AI to identify strategic opportunities
• Manage and prioritize the product backlog aligned with business strategy and outcomes
• Use data, experiments, and metrics to evaluate viability and guide go/no-go decisions
• Track success metrics across performance, adoption, cost, and friction reduction
• Collaborate with engineering to deliver secure, scalable, high-quality solutions
• Work cross-functionally with commercial, risk, legal, compliance, and operations teams to ensure timely delivery
• Apply agile methodologies to guide development and continuous improvement
• Leverage data, automation, and AI where appropriate to improve decision-making and customer experience
• Demonstrate ownership and drive initiatives to completion in a changing environment
• Raise execution quality by improving backlog planning and delivery

Key requirements

• 6+ years in Product Management within payments, fintech, or digital financial services
• Strong understanding of the money movement ecosystem (P2P, P2B, B2B, B2P); Visa Direct experience is a plus
• Proven ability to combine data and judgement to inform decisions and measure outcomes
• Data-driven mindset with the ability to derive insights and measure impact
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, Economics, or related field; MS/MBA is a plus
