Overview

You will lead and grow our finance-focused deal advisory propositions, guiding multi-workstream engagements for buy- and sell-side transactions. As a trusted advisor to CFOs and finance leadership, you shape finance workstreams, oversee delivery quality, and drive commercial success. You will lead business development, proposition building, and people development to strengthen our market position. This role combines senior leadership, cross-geography collaboration, and deep finance transformation expertise to deliver value across the deal lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end finance support across the deal lifecycle within multi-workstream teams
  • Advise CFOs and senior finance stakeholders with insight and practical direction in high-pressure deals
  • Coordinate cross-geography delivery teams to ensure quality and value across finance workstreams
  • Oversee separation/integration planning, operating model design, and deal-driven finance change
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships and coordinate with other advisory firms involved in deals
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and development for managers and junior staff
  • Drive capability development within the Finance CoE and promote inclusion and agility
  • Lead market development efforts, including proposals, origination, and long-term client relationships
  • Contribute thought leadership on future trends in finance transformation and disruptive technologies
  • Shape and expand propositions for integration, separation, finance function assessments, and operating model design
  • Collaborate on business development and client pursuits to grow accounts and sectors

Key requirements

  • Extensive background in management consulting or significant senior operational finance experience
  • Proven track record leading large-scale finance transformations, integrations, separations, carve-outs, or organizational change within finance/back office
  • Experience across core finance processes (Record to Report, Procure to Pay, Order to Cash) with understanding of finance structures, controls, systems, and metrics
  • Strong commercial acumen and financial management experience (models, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, business partnering)
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams in high-pressure, fast-paced deal environments
  • Professional qualification (ACA, CIMA, MBA, or equivalent) is preferred
  • Deep understanding of finance transformation, operating model redesign, and digital technologies in finance
  • M&A interest and experience with buy-side and sell-side finance issues
  • Outstanding client relationship skills and executive presence
