Production Manager

Overview

In this role you will lead the Pigmented Production team at Stowmarket to meet budget volumes, safety, quality and cost targets, while driving year-on-year improvements. You will collaborate with engineering and improvement teams across Stowmarket and Milan to deliver new products and processes. The position sits within the paint manufacturing management team and reports to the Operations Manager, with a strong focus on people development, cross-department collaboration, and continuous improvement. This is a hands-on role at an onsite site that shapes production strategy and execution.

Responsibilities

• Develop the strategy and lead the implementation for Pigmented Production at Stowmarket
• Lead the Pigmented team to meet budget volumes and customer requirements
• Build a trusted, high-performing operations team and establish cross-department collaboration
• Create and drive an improvement process targeting EHS, productivity, cost and product quality
• Develop and engage employees to achieve daily target improvements
• Partner with Engineering, Technical and improvement teams at Stowmarket and Milan for new products and process improvements
• Share best practices and coordinate product sourcing and industrialization with Stowmarket and Milan organizations

Key requirements

• Over 5 years of relevant management experience
• Experience in Production/Operations Management in manufacturing
• Knowledge of Lock out Tag Out and Permit to Work procedures
• Strong people leadership skills: communication, delegation, coaching, engagement, team building
• Ability to translate business goals into practical production plans and strategies
• Understanding of continuous improvement tools and methodologies including 5S
