Overview
In this role you will contribute to the Development Infrastructure team across the UK, designing and delivering infrastructure for highways, drainage, and related works. You will work on masterplanning, planning applications, and construction drawings, collaborating with clients and colleagues to ensure technical excellence. You will mentor junior staff and support concept studies and strategy delivery from conception to permitting and construction. The opportunity combines hands-on design with client engagement, working within a global firm focused on impact, inclusion, and innovation. You will be part of a cross-functional team shaping high-profile public and private sector developments.

Responsibilities
- Produce designs and drawings for construction projects and prepare technical reports for masterplanning and planning applications
- Work on multiple projects and client accounts concurrently with liaison at local and national levels
- Mentor and manage early career professionals to maintain technical excellence
- Provide day-to-day project management support for concept studies and strategies, delivering designs leading to planning applications or construction drawings
- Collaborate within teams to deliver highway design, drainage principles, and related reports and drawings
Key requirements
- Civil engineering degree and approaching Chartered status with highway and highway drainage design experience
- Postgraduate experience in a civil engineering working environment
- Experience producing masterplans, site appraisals, reports for planning applications, design calculations and construction drawings
- Knowledge of highway design, highway drainage, surface water and foul drainage designs
- Experience with Windes drainage software and PDS or Civils 3D modelling software
- Familiarity with Highways England and Local Authority design guidance and design codes (DMRB, S38/S278/ S106 relations)
- Consultancy or development background with private and public sector experience
