Responsibilities
- draft, negotiate and analyse direct and corporate real estate transaction docs (incl. SPAs)
- draft and review joint venture and development agreements; landlord/tenant docs
- provide real estate input on finance and corporate matters; review titles
- support real estate input on loans and other deal documents
- lead transactions as a senior lawyer and manage teams across practice areas or jurisdictions
- contribute to business development and client relationship management
- apply matter management discipline and adhere to conflicts clearance
- utilise firm tools (Best Delivery, AI, Legora, Orbital WitnessCoPilot, templates, Legal Support Centre, LPM) to deliver matters
- develop junior lawyers and participate in knowledge initiatives
Key requirements
- senior real estate experience from a City firm or reputable overseas common law practice
- strong document drafting, communication and analytical skills
- high commercial awareness and ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams
- ability to develop client relationships and thought leadership
- strong academic history
- willingness to work across different asset classes and industries and potentially develop corporate real estate skills
