Overview
As a Learning Support Assistant with a music background, you will help pupils access learning through creativity and relational support. You will work across lessons and small groups, including pupils with additional learning needs, to foster confidence and positive behaviour. Your musical understanding will engage students and support inclusive, accessible teaching. This role offers hands-on experience in a supportive school environment with ongoing professional development and potential for progression.

Responsibilities
- Support pupils in lessons and access learning in ways that suit individual needs
- Use creativity and musical understanding to engage and motivate students
- Provide 1:1 and small group support, including pupils with additional learning needs
- Assist teachers in delivering inclusive, accessible lessons
- Encourage confidence, participation and positive behaviour through supportive relationships
- Help create a calm, structured, and positive learning environment
Key requirements
- Background or strong interest in music (performance, study, or teaching experience desirable)
- Experience with children or young people beneficial but not essential
- Patient, empathetic, and encouraging approach
- Good communication skills and ability to build positive relationships
