IT Asset, Licensing & Procurement Analyst

Overview

In this role you will manage the full lifecycle of IT assets, ensure software licensing compliance, and support procurement to drive efficiency and value. You will maintain asset records in ITAM and CMDB, perform audits, and develop governance processes. You will work with IT, Finance, Security, and suppliers to ensure service quality and compliance. The position offers impact across a growing IT service and opportunities to influence cost control and vendor strategy. Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end lifecycle of IT hardware and software assets from procurement to retirement.
• Maintain accurate asset records within ITAM and CMDB systems.
• Monitor software licensing compliance and identify risks.
• Conduct regular asset audits and reconciliations across data sources.
• Develop and maintain asset management processes aligned with standards and policies.
• Produce reporting and analytics to support decision-making and operations.
• Oversee day-to-day procurement of IT hardware, software, SaaS, and cloud services.
• Process purchase requests, create purchase orders, and track deliveries.
• Support supplier and contract management, including renewals and pricing reviews.
• Coordinate with Finance on budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and invoicing.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and vendor consolidation opportunities.
• Collaborate with Service Management and cross-functional teams to support service delivery.
• Provide governance in line with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
• Assist audits with accurate documentation and records.
• Monitor end-of-life and end-of-support schedules and coordinate remediation.
• Serve as a key procurement contact and guide IT hardware standards.
• Work with technical teams to ensure assets meet security and organizational requirements.

Key requirements

• Experience in IT Asset Management and IT procurement.
• Strong understanding of hardware, software licensing, SaaS, and cloud subscriptions.
• Experience using ITAM tools and systems.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Strong vendor management and negotiation capabilities.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and reporting skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
