Overview

In this Senior Risk Manager role within SCOR UK’s P&C Risk Management team, you will drive the enhancement of the Risk Management Framework and ensure alignment with regulatory expectations. You’ll coordinate second-line assessment, challenge business risk controls, and deliver impactful risk reporting to Executive and Board committees. You’ll act as a primary link between first-line risk stakeholders and Group Risk Management, while contributing to cross-border risk projects. This position offers a meaningful chance to shape risk culture and governance across SCOR UK and Syndicate entities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the ongoing improvement of the Risk Management Framework for SCOR UK and SCOR Syndicate
  • Coordinate second-line assessment and monitoring of the control environment
  • Challenge business stakeholders’ risk and control self-assessments
  • Produce risk reporting for local Executive and Board Committees
  • Act as a point of contact for first-line risk stakeholders and Group Risk Management teams
  • Lead or participate in Group Risk Management projects and analysis
  • Monitor exposures against risk appetite and limits and track incidents and root causes
  • Develop risk registers, dashboards and metrics using data analytics
  • Support regulatory and audit requirements and contribute to external risk reporting
  • Advise the business on risk identification, mitigation and controls in coordination with Group Operational Risk
  • Champion strong risk culture and cross-functional collaboration
  • Participate in ad-hoc and group risk initiatives
  • Identify and analyze emerging risks and trends in partnership with business units

Key requirements

  • Proven risk management experience with increasing accountability
  • Extensive experience in Property & Casualty (re)insurance, ideally London Market (Company and Lloyd’s)
  • Knowledge of UK regulatory risk management principles (ORSA, governance)
  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills
  • Ability to produce clear and concise reporting
  • Excellent understanding of risk frameworks and governance
  • Strong stakeholder management and ability to challenge senior stakeholders
  • Project management skills and change delivery capability
