Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day transaction management for residential development matters
• Manage client relationships and contribute to business development
• Handle contracts, options, affordable housing structures, and site assembly
• Oversee back-to-back disposals, infrastructure agreements, and easements
• Support complex strategic land arrangements such as promotion agreements, collaboration agreements, and land pooling
• Engage with cross-disciplinary teams (planning, construction, tax, environment) to deliver deals
• Assist in scaling the department’s advisory and transactional capabilities

Key requirements

• 3-8+ years’ PQE in residential development, housebuilding or strategic land
• Strong track record acting for housebuilders, developers, promoters and/or landowners
• Excellent technical ability and commercial awareness
• Established client relationships or potential in regional development market
• Experience with options, conditional contracts, affordable housing structures, overage, infrastructure agreements and site assembly
• Exposure to promotion agreements, collaboration agreements, land pooling or mixed use schemes
• Solid understanding of VAT and SDLT issues
• Client-focused, ambitious and collaborative approach with ability to manage high-value matters and contribute to business development
