Overview

In this role you will provide comprehensive US tax advisory and compliance services to global private equity and real estate funds, many with US investors. You will work within a London-based Asset Management team to handle complex cross-border tax issues and fund transactions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor junior staff, and help grow client relationships and new business opportunities. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate on large private equity/real estate fund transactions, restructurings, and US tax compliance engagements for global funds
  • Manage advisory projects and research complex US tax issues affecting private equity/real estate funds in an international context
  • Oversee day-to-day project activities, including evaluating economic and risk aspects of engagements
  • Assist in deepening client relationships, host client meetings, and contribute to winning new work
  • Coordinate with colleagues across real estate transactions and private markets teams
  • Support new business development and input into market opportunity development and idea leadership
  • Mentor Analysts and Consultants with practical guidance
  • Help shape team culture and pursue inclusive, collaborative goals

Key requirements

  • CPA License / Licensed Attorney / Enrolled Agent (or equivalent)
  • Education in Taxation/Accounting or law, or equivalent
  • Experience in Asset Management Services—Private Equity, Real Estate, and/or Credit/Hedge Funds
  • Client-facing experience or equivalent skills
  • Knowledge of asset management issues, PFIC and K-1 reporting
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new concepts
