Overview

In this role you lead complex aircraft transition programs for TUI, coordinating technical, commercial and operational work across multiple markets. You drive end-of-lease redelivery, support aircraft induction, and manage cross-functional fleet initiatives to protect financial position and operational readiness. You build strategic relationships with lessors, OEMs and MROs to negotiate favourable outcomes. You work across global teams to deliver on-time, on-budget transitions with a focus on risk management and continuous improvement. This is a high-impact role shaping the airline’s transition strategy and execution.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-of-lease redelivery strategy and ensure lease condition compliance while minimising financial exposure through technical and commercial negotiations.
  • Contribute to aircraft induction projects, ensuring technical standards, regulatory compliance and operational readiness through inspections, acceptance and integration activities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with lessors, lenders, OEMs and MROs, representing TUI’s technical and commercial interests in negotiations.
  • Coordinate cross-functional fleet programmes across multiple airlines, markets and support functions to deliver transition objectives on time and within budget.
  • Contribute to strategic fleet planning with comprehensive project plans and risk mitigation for anticipated challenges.
  • Manage transition budgets, track costs, and develop business cases for commercial decisions such as condition buy-outs or technical exceptions.
  • Drive best practices and continuous improvement while maintaining transition documentation and airworthiness continuity.
  • Identify strategic opportunities to smooth asset transition processes.

Key requirements

  • Proven experience in a Part-CAMO technical role or aircraft fleet management environment.
  • Experience managing complex, high-value aviation projects with multiple stakeholders (lessors, OEMs, MROs).
  • Broad technical knowledge of aircraft maintenance, airworthiness regulations and lease structures; familiarity with IATA practices.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills with ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to operate across different business cultures and markets with diverse customers and stakeholders.
  • Strong commercial awareness and financial acumen; understanding of business risk in decision-making.
  • Full clean driving licence and ability to obtain Airport Security Clearance(s).
  • Project Management qualifications; degree in engineering (or equivalent) or Part 66 Licence would be advantageous.
  • Attention to detail with strategic thinking; familiarity with TUI aircraft types and fleet, AMOS, Flydocs and MyBoeingFleet is a plus.
