Innovation Consultant

Overview

In this role you drive innovation initiatives for a Saffron Walden client, leading projects that translate customer needs into new products and demonstrators. You will build and sustain commercial relationships while exploring cross-disciplinary solutions. The position sits at the intersection of strategy, design, and engineering, with exposure to proposals and new business development. You contribute to meaningful innovation within a collaborative, consultancy-like environment and shape impactful outcomes for customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead on new innovation projects from customer needs to prototyping solutions
• Develop and maintain strong commercial customer relationships
• Drive new business development, including conferences, proposals and presentations
• Collaborate across disciplines to create solutions and demonstrators

Key requirements

• Degree in a technical discipline from a leading university
• Aptitude to work across disciplines, methodologies and markets
• Understanding of customer challenges and capability to create new solutions
• Previous experience in consulting or corporate environments
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
