Project Manager

Overview

In this role you ensure governance, reporting and risk management across projects within Scotland’s energy infrastructure portfolio. You will maintain project records, prepare internal and external reports, and liaise with stakeholders to support informed, cost-effective decisions. You’ll lead safety, resource planning, and change control while driving continuous improvement and alignment with the company’s net-zero and sustainable infrastructure goals. This is a hands-on, cross-functional leadership role that shapes project delivery and performance.

Responsibilities

• Hold periodic project reviews (PRM) and update the Digital Briefcase per GBL requirements
• Maintain accurate project records (progress, daily diaries, etc.) and ensure data integrity
• Prepare internal/external reports and liaise with stakeholders to enable informed decisions
• Lead risk/opportunity reviews; present Risk Register and implement changes
• Develop, implement and update resource allocations plans (OBS) and raise requests
• Manage subcontractors and monitor progress to meet contractual obligations
• Oversee schedule development, updates, and adherence to master schedule and customer expectations
• Ensure procurement plans align with project plans and control costs
• Ensure quality with handover and certification, and lead assurance activities (audits)
• Establish robust change control processes and monitor KPI performance
• Promote safety and environmental initiatives; support investigations and improve the HSE system
• Lead working groups and support continuous improvement initiatives
• Maintain reporting routines including escalation where necessary
• Balance operational and commercial constraints in decision-making

Key requirements
