Overview

As an Associate Solicitor in Chadwick Nott’s Public & Environmental Law team in Cardiff, you will advise on nationally significant environmental and administrative matters for public sector bodies, regulators and private clients. You will handle nature conservation, biodiversity net gain, environmental permitting, waste, pollution and water/energy issues, and conduct statutory interpretation. You will also perform environmental due diligence for corporate and real estate transactions, and work on high-profile regulatory matters. Responsibilities

  • Advise on nature conservation, biodiversity net gain and environmental permitting
  • Handle waste, pollution, contaminated land and remediation matters
  • Advise on water regulation, energy and infrastructure related environmental issues
  • Support public sector clients and regulators on environmental duties and compliance
  • Conduct statutory interpretation and advise on public law risk

Key requirements

  • Qualified solicitor with experience in environmental law
