Overview

As a Finance Business Partner, you will bridge finance and operations to drive project performance and sustainable growth. You’ll work with Project Directors and senior stakeholders, delivering management accounts, forecasts and insightful analysis. Your role supports strategic decision-making across a diverse project portfolio in a collaborative, global firm. This position blends technical accounting with commercial partnering, offering exposure to senior leadership and opportunities to develop leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and control monthly management and project accounts
  • Support annual budgets and quarterly forecasts
  • Partner with Project Directors through regular project finance reviews
  • Provide financial guidance and analysis to improve project performance
  • Monitor revenues, costs, profitability and WIP positions
  • Manage debtors and identify financial risks and opportunities
  • Deliver monthly financial commentary and stakeholder insights
  • Support financial and commercial decision-making across the portfolio
  • Collaborate with Project Operations teams and regional finance colleagues
  • Maintain ownership of cost centres
  • Produce quarterly WIP and FX reporting
  • Act as a point of contact for financial matters in the business area
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, controls and reporting

Key requirements

  • Experience in business partnering, management accounting or commercial finance
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge with commercial awareness
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Outstanding attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborative mindset and relationship-building with non-finance colleagues
