Senior Civil Engineer

Overview

In this Senior Civil Engineer role, you will drive sustainable civil design across drainage, earthworks, and utilities, guiding projects from feasibility to delivery. You’ll work with multi-disciplinary teams to craft innovative, cost-conscious solutions for data centres, offices, and mixed-use developments. You will mentor junior engineers and maintain strong client relationships to support repeat business. Responsibilities

• Take ownership of civil engineering designs across drainage, earthworks, utilities, and more
• Lead and inspire project teams from feasibility through delivery
• Collaborate with architects, planners, and stakeholders to create innovative, cost-effective solutions
• Ensure compliance with technical standards, safety regulations, and environmental goals
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and excellence
• Maintain excellent client relationships and manage client expectations to drive satisfaction and repeat business

Key requirements

• Chartered or Incorporated Civil Engineer (IEng/CEng MICE)
• Design experience within Data Centre projects
• 5+ years of industry experience in civil design and project delivery
• BEng, MSc, or equivalent in Civil/Structural Engineering or relevant subject
• Proficiency in Civil 3D, Micro Drainage, and/or AutoCAD
• Strong communication, leadership, and client-facing skills
• Experience with Microsoft Office, MicroStation, InRoads, and other civil engineering software as appropriate
• Project Engineering and Project Management experience
• Active participant in employee-owned culture
