Overview

In this role you support risk decisions for a diverse client base across Banks, Insurances and Sovereign facing portfolios in the Central and Northern Europe region. You will conduct credit analysis, monitor exposures, and help structure and negotiate transactions within a cross-functional CIB team. You’ll engage with senior stakeholders on complex credit structures and contribute to portfolio risk management and continuous improvement. This is an opportunity to shape risk outcomes at scale while developing deep expertise in financial institutions and credit products.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare concise credit analyses with clear risk appetite, grading, and structuring recommendations
  • Lead or support due diligence and provide counterparty credit analysis
  • Perform portfolio-level and client-specific stress testing and present conclusions to stakeholders
  • Negotiate Markets and loan documentation (ISDA, GMRA, GMSLA, LMA standards) and leveraged finance structures
  • Manage and monitor credit risk across sectors/products, adjust limits, and track ratings and client performance
  • Cover a broad product suite (derivatives, secured/unsecured loans, trade finance, treasury) across markets
  • Coordinate with senior leaders, product specialists, and Credit Officers to align risk decisions
  • Apply firm risk management policies and engage with Regulators and Auditors
  • Develop junior talent through coaching, training, and formal learning sessions

Key requirements

  • Demonstrated analytical rigor and credit judgment to identify and communicate key risks
  • Proficiency in financial analysis and scenario analysis for diverse client/product sets
  • Familiarity with using AI tools to support analysis and efficiency
  • Knowledge of transaction structures and documentation to support negotiation and execution
  • Strong project management with end-to-end ownership and ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment
  • Clear written and verbal communication and credibility with clients and stakeholders
  • Ability to coach and develop junior colleagues
  • Self-directed, results-oriented, adaptable, and motivated for continuous improvement
