As a Snowflake Data Engineer within our Data & AI practice, you build and optimise cloud-native data ecosystems that enable data-driven decision making and advanced analytics. You will collaborate with architects, developers, and analysts to deliver secure, high-performing pipelines on Snowflake and related platforms. The role combines hands-on engineering with client-facing delivery, driving innovation and scalable data solutions. You’ll contribute to reusable assets and AI-ready data capabilities that scale with our clients’ needs.

Responsibilities
- Client engagement & delivery across data projects
- Developing data pipelines (batch and streaming)
- Managing Snowflake & cloud data platforms
- Data architecture & modelling
- Promoting collaboration & best practices
- Ensuring quality, governance & security of data solutions
Key requirements
- Proven data engineering experience on Snowflake and cloud-native platforms
- Strong consulting and client-facing collaboration
- Hands-on data lifecycle expertise: ingestion, transformation, modelling, governance, consumption
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
- Experience leading or mentoring engineering teams for scalable solutions
- Deep Snowflake knowledge (warehouses, Snowpark, data sharing, performance tuning)
- Proficiency in ETL/ELT tools (DBT, Matillion, Talend)
- Strong SQL and Python
- Cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Knowledge of data modelling methodologies (Star/Kimball/Data Vault)
- Familiarity with data lake architectures and Spark/Hadoop
- Experience with GitHub/Bitbucket and CI/CD
- Understanding of data governance, security, compliance
- Exposure to AI/ML workloads desirable
