Responsibilities
- Support day‑to‑day operations and enable business changes
- Develop, maintain and improve internal and client‑facing IT infrastructure (servers, storage, networks, telecoms)
- Architect and execute a 5‑year cloud migration strategy for infrastructure and services
- Provide expert infrastructure oversight to meet delivery and SLA targets
- Research and select optimal infrastructure delivery options
- Design infrastructure solutions and manage deployment, maintenance, and upgrades
- Identify, deploy and maintain connectivity options
- Maintain and test business continuity plans and systems
Key requirements
- Strong infrastructure and OS background
- Public cloud experience, primarily Azure
- Designing and building hybrid environments
- VMware vSphere design, installation and management
- Designing and deploying highly available solutions
- Deploying and managing storage solutions
- Active Directory design and management
- Automation using scripting and DevOps tooling
- Cisco networking equipment and reference architectures for datacentre, branch and campus
- Experience with backup architectures (NetBackup), SQL Server, SharePoint
- Understanding of computer architecture, networking, virtualization, storage and Windows/Linux
