In this role you lead cross-functional engineering teams to deliver secure, scalable software for a global InsurTech business. You balance technical credibility with people leadership, guiding development, release, and continuous improvement while collaborating with Architects, Product, Platform, Security and Operations. You shape engineering practices, tooling, and processes to boost delivery flow, quality, and developer experience, and you foster inclusive, high-performing teams. A strong focus on cloud/SaaS modernization and DevSecOps provides a meaningful platform to drive transformation.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-disciplinary Agile/product engineering teams delivering complex software
• Create environments enabling secure, reliable, and scalable delivery
• Oversee development, release and continuous improvement of products
• Collaborate with Architects, Senior Engineers, Product, Platform, Security and Operations
• Use metrics to improve delivery flow, quality, reliability and developer experience
• Build high-performing inclusive teams: recruit, develop engineers, coach leaders
• Evolve team structures and operating models; support career progression
• Champion modern engineering practices: automation, DevSecOps, secure development, responsible AI tools

Key requirements

• Experience leading multi-disciplinary Agile/product engineering teams
• Hands-on engineering background, ideally C# .Net, with full SDLC
• Understanding of modern software engineering principles: maintainable architecture, automated testing, CI/CD, secure-by-design, observability
• Experience growing teams and leading transformation in engineering effectiveness, Agile/flow-based delivery, cloud/SaaS adoption, DevSecOps, technology modernization
• Strong leadership: enthusiastic, collaborative, inclusive, proactive and committed to continuous improvement
• Ability to use engineering metrics to improve delivery, quality, reliability, and developer experience without overhead
