Overview
In this role, you guide a design team across EMEA from concept to delivery, shaping best-in-class 2D/3D product concepts that align with Disney’s brand and storytelling. You set the creative direction, identify white-space opportunities, and drive cross-functional collaboration to meet regional growth and business objectives. As a mentor and subject matter expert, you ensure feasibility, brand consistency, and commercially impactful outcomes. This position combines leadership, strategic design, and hands-on development in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

Responsibilities
- Define and communicate the product design direction with a recognizable handwriting and clear trend insights
- Identify new product opportunities and white-space to support short- and long-term business needs
- Lead and coordinate workshops, comp shops, and design sessions to surface opportunities and drive innovation
- Champion regional trend analysis to inform briefs and align with global brand pillars
- Drive an innovation agenda ensuring brand storytelling, feasibility, and value across 2D/3D concepts
- Deliver compelling conceptual designs and pitches to partners and stakeholders at all levels
- Collaborate across categories, franchises, and lines of business to strengthen product excellence
- Manage the Online Product Approval (OPA) process across licensees and ensure compliance with global standards
- Provide design guidance to licensees and mentor the team through approval queries
- Track approvals, critical paths, and calendars; report progress and risks against KPIs
- Support senior leadership in delivering revenue and growth objectives across EMEA
- Lead and develop the Product Design team with coaching, direction, and career development
Key requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in product/industrial/fashion design or related discipline
- Extensive experience in product design and development for FMCG/consumer products with a strong portfolio
- Advanced proficiency in Mac OSX, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Microsoft Office
- Proven experience briefing and managing designers or agencies and managing licensee accounts
- Ability to provide constructive feedback and elevate execution through brand standards
- Experience leading and developing a design team with coaching and goal-setting
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple submissions in a fast-paced environment
- Confident presenter capable of communicating ideas to stakeholders at all levels
- Significant experience in product design/development within FMCG or consumer products
