Senior Product Designer

Overview

In this role you will shape user-centred web and mobile experiences within the Tax Technology & Innovation team, translating business and technical needs into practical interfaces. You will guide discovery, prototyping and implementation, collaborating with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Software Engineers and QA to deliver usable tax software for UK and global products. You will own and evolve the shared design system to ensure consistency, accessibility and scalability. You will facilitate workshops, align stakeholders, and drive design decisions from concept to delivery using research and AI-enabled tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of web and mobile experiences with clear interfaces, flows, wireframes and prototypes
• Plan and facilitate design workshops, sprints and stakeholder sessions
• Build alignment with product, business and technical stakeholders to ensure feasibility and business alignment
• Collaborate with development and QA to clarify requirements and support implementation
• Own the ongoing development of the shared design system for consistency and scalability
• Present concepts and prototypes to leadership and adjust detail for the audience
• Coordinate design work within backlog refinement and sprint planning to prioritise work
• Utilise research, trends and AI-enabled tools to strengthen ideation and delivery

Key requirements

• Portfolio demonstrating user-centred product design for web or mobile
• Proficiency in Figma or equivalent (components, prototypes, developer handover)
• Practical application of UX principles, interaction and visual design, and user research methods
• Experience collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience creating, maintaining or evolving design systems
