Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Overview

In this role you lead the Information Systems group to own and modernise PMUK’s core IT services and enterprise infrastructure. You’ll shape and deliver the infrastructure and modern workplace strategy, while ensuring security, resilience, and scalable operations. You will mentor teams, manage governance and data protection, and drive automation and migration initiatives. The position offers a hands-on, strategic leadership path within a global tech-forward company.

Responsibilities

• Act as technical lead for infrastructure and Microsoft 365 services
• Define and deliver infrastructure and modern workplace strategy
• Provide mentorship and escalation support to technical teams
• Ensure systems are secure, resilient, scalable, and future-ready
• Own and manage Microsoft 365 tenant and core services
• Lead migration strategies (e.g., SharePoint on-prem to Online)
• Drive adoption of low-code automation via Power Platform
• Establish data governance frameworks and compliance controls
• Oversee 3rd line support, upgrades, and maintenance
• Lead full lifecycle project delivery (Discovery to Deploy)
• Act as a visible technical leader and collaborate with stakeholders

Key requirements

• Degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Senior/lead infrastructure or M365 experience
• Microsoft 365 (Defender & Purview) expertise
• Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) experience
• Power Platform (Power Apps & Power Automate) experience
• SharePoint migrations (on-prem to Online)
• Hybrid infrastructure knowledge (Azure + on-prem)
• Networking and firewalls knowledge
• Virtualisation (Hyper-V)
• Endpoint management (Intune)
• Data governance and compliance implementation
• English level B2 or equivalent for visa considerations
