Audit RI – Central London

Overview

In this role you will own the audit function for a portfolio of clients, acting as Responsible Individual from planning through sign-off. You will set the quality standard and coach the team to meet it, while remaining engaged with clients and contributing to new work. You will partner with senior leaders to shape the audit offering and the department’s direction. This is an opportunity to lead a growing, independent practice and influence governance and process at a high level.

Responsibilities

• Act as Responsible Individual across a portfolio of audits, from planning through to sign-off
• Set and uphold audit quality standards across the team
• Perform file reviews and address technical questions from managers and seniors
• Maintain close client involvement and participate in new work opportunities
• Collaborate with partners to shape the audit offering and department strategy
• Lead and develop the audit team rather than merely manage a portfolio

Key requirements

• ACA or ACCA qualified with UK practice audit experience
• RI status already held, or strong case for obtaining it
• Confident with current ISA (UK) requirements and able to defend a file
• Desire to lead a team and influence direction of the function
