Technical Coordinator

Overview

As Technical Coordinator at Vistry South East Midlands, you will coordinate technical information between external consultants and internal teams throughout design and construction to enable prompt site starts. You’ll ensure approvals are secured and information is issued accurately, supporting a collaborative, cross-functional process. The role focuses on design coordination, planning input, and buildability while aligning with client requirements and regulatory standards. Responsibilities

• Coordinate design team workflows and meetings with internal and external stakeholders
• Ensure drawings, details, and approvals are accurate and commercially suitable
• Manage submission of Building Control, warranties, and related documentation
• Liaise with consultants and attend progress meetings to advance technical matters
• Support commercial and buying teams in reviewing subcontractor design information
• Maintain current drawings/documents on Viewpoint Platform and ensure on-time design information
• Coordinate planning processes and address planning conditions before site start
• Ensure regulatory compliance for Engineering Designs and ground remediation
• Coordinate Temporary Works designs and assist on-site issue resolution
• Support integration of new regulation requirements into projects

Key requirements

• Proven experience in Architecture or Civil Engineering
• Residential housing sector experience
• Proficiency with regulatory approvals (S38, S278 & S104)
• Project management and supervision skills
• Strong attention to detail and proactive problem-solving
• Effective communication across all levels and departments
• Positive, flexible attitude and team-oriented approach
• Full UK driving license
• Ability to challenge decisions constructively
• Knowledge of coordinating design information with external consultants

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to coordinate and influence across multiple stakeholders
• Strong organizational and prioritization abilities
• CAD skills desirable
• Knowledge of 4Projects
• Experience with Viewpoint Platform
