Overview
As a Project Manager in health and life sciences, you drive the delivery of capital infrastructure projects from strategy to post-occupancy. You will work with multidisciplinary teams, act as the main client contact, and ensure deliveries follow established methods and regulatory standards. You’ll contribute to high-impact projects that improve patient pathways, laboratories, and educational campuses. Responsibilities
- Manage delivery of health and life science projects of varying size and complexity
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and project teams
- Apply structured project management processes and procedures
- Monitor progress to ensure compliance with values, financial controls, and industry standards
- Adhere to commission execution plans and update them as needed
- Coordinate across lifecycle stages from strategic case to post-occupancy
Key requirements
- Degree or equivalent level in a relevant field (preferably)
- Membership of a chartered institute in construction (e.g. RICS, CIBSE, CIOB, APM, MICE)
- Progress toward or achievement of a recognised PM qualification (e.g. APM PMQ, NEC PM accreditation, MRICS, ChPP)
- Experience as a Project Manager in a construction environment
- Experience with NHS Capital Investment Manual, RIBA Plan of Work, OGC Gateways is advantageous
