Artemis Human Capital is delighted to be supporting a growing professional services business in the appointment of a Community & Events Manager. This is a varied, commercially focused role combining client relationship management, business development and community engagement.
The successful candidate will take ownership of a growing client community, develop relationships with existing and prospective clients, and plan and deliver a programme of events, workshops, webinars and networking activity designed to strengthen engagement and generate new business opportunities.
This would suit someone who enjoys being at the centre of a busy network – someone who can build trusted relationships, organise engaging events, spot commercial opportunities and turn ideas into action.
What this role will be responsible for:
Community management:
Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with clients and community members.
Manage an existing portfolio of clients, with a focus on engagement, satisfaction, retention and growth.
Segment and prioritise the client base, adapting your approach according to client needs and commercial opportunity.
Proactively engage new and existing clients and follow up on opportunities.
Respond to general client enquiries and identify opportunities for further engagement.
Monitor client activity and purchasing patterns to identify opportunities for growth.
Gather client feedback and use it to improve the overall client experience.
Build and maintain an active professional community through digital channels.
Events:
Professional accreditation and development programmes.
Community networking and engagement days.
Specialist practitioner events.
Webinars and online sessions.
Conference sponsorship and exhibition events – lunches and meetings for clients and prospects.
You’ll be involved end-to-end – identifying opportunities and planning content, through promotion and delegate management, to supplier coordination, delivery and post-event evaluation.
BD and marketing:
Support the wider commercial team with proposals and business development activity.
Identify opportunities to deepen existing client relationships and develop new ones.
Create and coordinate engaging content to support community growth and commercial objectives.
Represent the organisation at relevant conferences and industry events.
Maintain a consistent and proactive presence across professional social media channels.
Experience/skills required:
Experience in client relationship management, business development, community management or a similar commercially focused role.
Practical experience using digital marketing channels, particularly LinkedIn, email marketing, webinars and digital campaigns.
Good commercial awareness and an understanding of how engagement, events and relationship management can contribute to revenue and client retention.
Takes ownership and gets things done.
Proactive, resilient and comfortable working independently.
Enjoys building relationships and bringing people together.
Can balance strategic thinking with practical delivery.
Works collaboratively while being capable of managing their own workload.
Experience within a membership organisation, professional services environment, events business, learning and development organisation or representative body could be particularly relevant.
This is an opportunity to take genuine ownership of a high-profile client and community-facing function within a growing professional services environment.
