Mechanical Design Engineer — Thermal Runaway Safety

Vertical Aerospace seeks an Advanced Mechanical Design Engineer (Thermal Runaway) to join the Energy Storage team. You will tackle safety-critical battery challenges, progress thermal runaway testing, and translate data into robust mechanical designs and qualification strategies.

You will own CAD work and collaborate with stress, manufacturing and quality teams to meet certification milestones, contributing to the overall safety and reliability of our eVTOL energy storage systems.
