Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation with offices in Edinburgh and Inverness, is currently looking to recruit a Project Manager for a contract until 30th September 2027 on a rate of £500/day (Inside IR35). This role will be hybrid based with the expectation of up to 2 days per week on average in the office.
- A strong track record (minimum five years) of managing and delivering medium and high-risk projects at pace, with an ability to adapt to inevitable change.
- Expert knowledge of the various project management and project delivery core processes and disciplines, using the right tools/approach at the right time in a proportionate and pragmatic manner.
- Proven experience delivering business transformation programmes involving business process redesign, operating model development, stakeholder adoption and technology enablement.
- Experience of contributing to, refining and maintaining the different perspectives of a Blueprint or Target Operating Model (TOM).
- Experience working within public sector environments, including project assurance, procurement and supplier management.
- Experience of scoping technology solutions.
- Proficient at managing a multidisciplinary project team, including project support and business analysis resources.
- Proficient in the use of project management tools and business tools (such as Microsoft applications).
- Competent in ensuring data of sufficient quality is appropriately used through analysis and evaluation to inform decisions.
- A recognised Project or Programme Management qualification (e.g., PRINCE2, APM PMQ/PPQ, MSP).
- Experience of working in a similar environment.
- Understanding of solutions to enable the coordination of casework, major projects and associated financial income.
- Understanding of service design, customer centric design and value stream modelling concepts.
- Working knowledge of public sector project assurance regimes (e.g., Gateway Reviews).
