Equifind are supporting a household name in private equity and credit investing, with tens of billions in AUM. With operations across Europe and North America, you’ll be at the centre of the business, based at their HQ in London’s Mayfair.
As Financial Controller, you’ll be working alongside some very experienced and senior people, making this a fantastic learning environment. The role will grow over time and give you exposure to a wide range of interesting work.
The position sits within Group Finance, where a new target operating model is underway and a meaningful programme of technology and process improvement is being designed and rolled out. You’ll play a key role in shaping and delivering this change, so it’s a great opportunity to make a real mark on how the function operates going forward.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the financial control of the corporate group, which spans many legal entities across multiple jurisdictions
- Act as the key contact for the Group auditors, taking ultimate responsibility for the annual audit of the operating group
- Own the preparation of timely and accurate statutory financial statements across the Operating Group, where required
- Play a senior role across the Group’s wider financial control and operations agenda, including the valuation of the Group across a complex shareholding structure
- Work closely with FP&A, Compliance and front office teams to ensure the completeness and accuracy of financial data
- Contribute actively to the delivery of the corporate accounting target operating model, identifying pain points, improving workflows and helping implement solutions
Application requirements
- Qualified chartered accountant, preferably ACA, CA or ACCA chartered.
- Previous experience in private equity or alternative investments.
- Proven experience in a senior financial reporting role including managing a team.
- Strong understanding of IFRS & UK GAAP, as well as Group consolidations.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and global environment.
- Strategic mindset and the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
