Data Analyst – Data & Web Scraping | London

A leading investment firm is looking for a Data Analyst / Data & Web Scraping professional to join its London team on an open-ended, long-term contract.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a background in Python, data analysis, programming, or web scraping who enjoys troubleshooting, problem-solving, and working with different teams. The team is open on level of experience and will consider candidates who are relatively early in their careers if they have the right technical foundation and communication skills.

What you’ll be doing:

• Build, maintain, and troubleshoot web scrapers and data collection tools
• Monitor existing scrapers and troubleshoot issues when websites or data sources change
• Manage a day-to-day operational queue and prioritize high-impact issues
• Identify and work with new data sources
• Help maintain and improve internal data collection processes
• Work closely with investors, data scientists, and engineers
• Communicate with stakeholders around data needs and technical issues
• Take ownership of issues from identification through resolution

What we’re looking for:

• Experience with Python and/or programming
• Web scraping experience preferred
• Background in data analysis, data engineering, software development, or a similar technical area
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working independently and managing multiple priorities
• Open to candidates with varying levels of professional experience

Details:

• Location: London
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, fully onsite
• Hours: Approximately 8:00 AM–6:00 PM London time, with some flexibility for critical issues when needed
• Contract: Open-ended / long-term contract
• Start: ASAP

The role will sit alongside an engineering team and work closely with data scientists, engineers, investors, and other stakeholders.
