Project Manager

Belfast | Hybrid (2-3 days onsite per week)

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in banking, financial services, data, technology, and business change programmes. This role will be responsible for driving end-to-end delivery of strategic initiatives, working closely with technology teams, business stakeholders, and senior leadership to ensure successful execution within agreed timelines and governance frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and own the end-to-end project lifecycle, including planning, milestones, dependencies, delivery schedules, testing phases, and release readiness.
• Drive day-to-day project execution, ensuring alignment between delivery plans, backlogs, and business objectives.
• Coordinate across multiple technology and business teams to maintain delivery cadence and remove blockers.
• Establish and manage governance processes, project reporting, steering committee updates, and RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies).
• Oversee scope, change control processes, and risk management to protect project outcomes and timelines.
• Facilitate key project activities, including planning workshops, stakeholder meetings, and Agile ceremonies where applicable.
• Track project progress and provide clear, concise updates on status, risks, issues, actions, and next steps.
• Ensure all project documentation and delivery artefacts are maintained in accordance with governance and audit requirements.

Required Experience

• 10+ years’ experience as a Project Manager delivering complex technology, data, or business change initiatives.
• Proven track record within banking or financial services environments.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with experience engaging business leaders, technology teams, and senior executives.
• Excellent project planning, dependency management, and governance capabilities.
• Experience working within Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery frameworks.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams and coordinate cross-functional teams effectively.
