An opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and experienced pharmacy professional to join our team as a Senior Pharmacy Technician based at Withybush Pharmacy Department. We are looking for a Pharmacy Technician with significant experience to provide professional and operational leadership. This involves the responsibility for the day-to-day management and effective delivery of a safe, accurate and efficient service across stores, dispensary and procurement.
You will deputise for the site Chief Pharmacy Technician as well as line manage and supervise the Pharmacy Technicians and Assistant Technical Officers. You will lead, develop and support the team, contributing to recruitment, workforce planning and performance, whilst promoting a positive and inclusive team environment. You will be expected to manage complex operational issues and ensure compliance with legal, professional and governance standards using performance data and quality improvement methods.
- To act as the operational Lead Pharmacy Technician, with responsibility for the day-to-day staff line management and effective service delivery within dispensary, stores and procurement
- To ensure the provision of a safe, accurate, efficient and cost-effective service in line with health board objectives.
- To provide visible operational leadership to the team, promoting a positive, supportive and inclusive working culture.
- To contribute to the development, review and implementation of local policies, procedures and standard operating procedures in line with professional standards and Health board governance requirements.
