Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Operative
Location: Harrogate
Salary: £16.00 – £17.00 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, permanent
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Facilities Maintenance Operative to join an established and reputable business.
In this role, you will play an important part in maintaining the site, supporting its security, upkeep and overall presentation. You will undertake a varied range of practical and operational duties to help ensure the facilities remain safe, secure and well maintained.
Responsibilities Of Facilities Maintenance Operative
- Secure buildings and respond to alarms and emergency call-outs
- Carry out general repairs, plumbing, heating, painting and maintenance
- Identify and report hazards and defects
- Prepare rooms for events and meetings
- Assist with deliveries, waste and recycling
- Respond appropriately to emergencies
- Follow safeguarding, health and safety and site procedures
Skills & Experience
- Previous maintenance, caretaking or handyperson experience
- Full clean driving licence
- Basic IT, English and numeracy skills
- Good understanding of health and safety and COSHH
- Comfortable working at height with appropriate training
- Reliable, flexible and physically capable
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Professional approach
