I am working with a successful manufacturing business looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join their engineering team and play a key role in maintaining and improving their production equipment.
What you’ll be doing:* Carry out PPM and routine maintenance to prevent breakdowns and maximise equipment reliability.* Respond quickly to breakdowns, diagnose faults and get machinery back up and running.* Complete machine adjustments, set-ups and changeovers to support production.* Fault-find across mechanical and electrical equipment.* Monitor and calibrate machinery to maintain quality, accuracy and safety.* Work closely with Production to identify **improvements and reduce downtime**.* Maintain accurate maintenance records, PPM schedules and spare parts information.* Follow all Health & Safety procedures and company standards.* Support the introduction of new technology and engineering improvements.
What we’re looking for:* Qualifications to NVQ level 3 (or equivalent, ONC mechanical/electrical engineering, BTEC level 3 in mechanical & electrical/electronic engineering)* Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems* Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery, including conveyors, motors, pumps, and packaging equipment* Proactive approach to maintenance and a commitment to ensuring the highest levels of equipment reliability* A good understanding of HACCP principles and ideally IEE qualification up to 17th edition wiring regulations would be advantageous
