Senior Electrical Engineer

Overview

In this role, you will be the senior electrical engineer delivering high-standard maintenance for the Leeds Oncology Wing at St James’ University Hospital. You’ll work with a dynamic team to provide a responsive, professional service and support a broad range of electrical and building services. You will contribute to training and governance as an Authorised Person, helping to maintain safe, reliable facilities. Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance, testing, and inspection of electrical and mechanical building services
• Provide reactive and planned maintenance to high standards
• Give technical guidance to the maintenance team and assist with training for Authorised Person duties
• Maintain records and report progress to supervisor
• Support other skilled trades and assist with installation work as needed
• Provide cover for absent colleagues to maintain service continuity
• Undertake overtime when required to sustain the service
• Liaise with other healthcare projects and plug into broader EQUANS programs

Key requirements

• Qualified time served engineer with minimum 3 years post-apprenticeship experience
• Healthcare experience desirable but not essential
• Cross-trade experience advantageous
