Group Manufacturing Operations Manager

Overview

In this role you will lead a high-performing, cross-functional operations team at the East Cowes site, owning a portfolio of high-value aerospace programmes and driving daily operations, efficiency, and results. You will partner with senior leadership to implement continuous improvement across processes and performance. The role combines people leadership, budget and planning oversight, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver impactful outcomes in a dynamic manufacturing environment. Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations for smooth workflows
• Develop, implement, and monitor operational policies and procedures
• Identify areas for process and cost improvements
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation
• Mentor and support staff to maximise performance
• Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and company standards
• Collaborate with leadership on strategic initiatives and business planning
• Monitor KPIs and report to senior management

Key requirements

• Significant experience in a similar aerospace manufacturing leadership role
• Strong people-leadership with track record of developing high-performing teams
• Excellent problem-solving and Kaizen/continuous improvement experience
• Budget management and financial data analysis
• Self-motivated with target-oriented mindset
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management
• Strong IT skills
• Lean or Six Sigma certification by a reputable body desirable though not essential
